Founded by sister-brother duo, Gemma and Alex White, The leading and longest-established fit agency Fittings Division has been supplying fit models to the fashion industry (UK and worldwide) since 2003. Fittings Division provides male and female models to both high-end and high-street brands along with independent labels, boutiques and universities. At their Brick Lane offices, Gemma and Alex measure new and existing model talent daily, taking polaroid shots of the body, as well as high-quality head-shots, ensuring that every model they represent has an up-to-date and professional model card. Every model they work with is fully trained in fit-room and casting etiquette and the agency measures regularly to ensure that models are maintaining their stated measurements.
Gemma explains; ‘While the industry has moved on considerably in the years we have been established, our way of working has remained true to our original ethos. Unlike other agencies, we don’t use scanning equipment or techie algorithms, we believe that there is simply no replacement for measuring by hand and really analysing body shape and posture to understand what makes the perfect fit model. We also believe in developing and nurturing personal relationships with our clients and models, so that we can get a true understanding of our client’s objectives to find them the perfect fit model for the job.’
Although the agency specialises in clothing, it also measures for lingerie and shoe fits, in addition to supplying models for fit reviews, mannequin scanning, e-commerce, showroom, look books, in-house catwalks, styling days, body-doubles and photographic work. Its team of bookers are always on hand to help its clients find the perfect model, whether that’s shape, size, age or ethnicity.
